WSD signs Indigenous Accord

On June 20, 2017, Winnipeg School Division Board of Trustees officially became a partner in the Winnipeg Indigenous Accord.

Board Chair Sherri Rollins signed the Accord, which is a living document to guide our shared commitment to the Journey of Reconciliation in Winnipeg. Our shared commitment is rooted in the TRC’s 94 Calls to Action and is guided by the commitments and principles stated in the Accord.

The City of Winnipeg and partners of Winnipeg’s Indigenous Accord will come together to create and implement an action plan to observe the commitments and principles of the Accord for establishing and maintaining mutually-respectful partnerships with First Nations, Métis, and Inuit peoples.
