WSD Students excel at Manitoba Robot Games 2018

Students from Churchill High School and many other WSD schools participated with great enthusiasm in this year's Manitoba Robot Games on March 24 at the Tec Voc High School. The engagement and the performance of our students in all the events was outstanding.

Thanks to teachers like John Karpiak and other WSD teachers for engaging students in #STEM projects and teaching them about technology, robotics and coding which helps them gain valuable 21st Century Skills.

Here's the list of award winners from Churchill High School at Manitoba Robot Games 2018:

  • Hikaru Nitta - First place in Prairie Sumo Autonomous (PSV)
  • Spencer Allen - Second place in Prairie Sumo Autonomous (PSV)
  • Marcus Hammer - Third place in Tractor Pull (TPM)
  • Herjuno Wicaksono & Marcus Hammer - Third place in Mini SumoTethered (1-9) (MS2)

We are very proud of our student's achievements. Congratulations to all the winners and participants!
