This course combines Futures in Business and Start Your Own Business. Futures in Business develops the personal business skills necessary to function in today’s world. Start Your Own Business will introduce students the opportunities in the world of business and outline the processes that can be used to start a small business and complete a business plan.
ACCOUNTING PRINCIPLES 30S | ACPR3S - 1 CREDIT
Basic accounting knowledge allows you to make intelligent decisions on the financial path a company takes. Using workbooks, accounting software and spreadsheets, Accounting 30S will give you the skills required to enter the accounting world. This course is a must for the person interested in starting and owning their own company. Accounting 30S will also provide basic accounting skills necessary to work in a business environment.
Accounting Principles 30S qualifies as a Math requirement for Grade 11.
VISIONS AND VENTURES - AN ENTREPRENEURSHIP PRACTICUM 30S | VIVR3S - 1 CREDIT
ACCOUNTING SYSTEMS 40S | ACSR4S – 1 CREDIT
This course builds on concepts studied in Accounting Principles 30S and expands to include alternate methods of Accounting Systems. Current accounting methods are examined through interview projects, guest speakers, and accounting software. Advanced placement at RRC may be given in Business Accountancy, Business Administration, and Administrative Assistant Programs.
Accounting Systems 40S qualifies as a Math requirement for graduation. Prerequisite: Accounting Principles 30S
LAW 40S | LAWR4S – 1 CREDIT
This course studies Canadian law as it relates to investigation, criminal law, law suits, forensics, human rights, family law, etc. A field trip to observe the courts in action, guest speakers, movies, case studies, project work and group work are included in the course. Law 40S is now a Senate approved course which can be used to calculate the admission and entrance scholarship averages at the University of Winnipeg.
ECONOMICS 40S | ECOR4S – 1 CREDIT
Economics explores business concepts, and how it affects the individual, the Canadian economy and world economy. Economics 40S is now a Senate Approved course which can be used to calculate the admission and entrance scholarship averages at the University of Winnipeg.
