I Love to Read Month

July 20, 2022

I   Love  to Read Month
Literacy is a human right.
In February, our school will be participating in a Quote Challenge for I Love to Read month.
Here’s how it works
·        Every day on the announcements students will hear a quote and see it posted in the office window.  The goal is to figure out where the quote comes from.
·        Students can get ONE ballot each morning from their homeroom teacher
·        When the origin of the quote is discovered (the author or text it comes from), students can record it on the ballot and submit the ballot to the entry envelope of any classroom teacher.
·        At the end of each week, one student’s name will be drawn. If they have correctly identified a quote from the week, they will win a prize!
Let’s see how well you know your quotes!!

Book Club
Do you love to read?  Would you like to be able to read the same book as others and be able to discuss your opinions and share in your understanding? Then give Book Club a try!
Book Club meets Monday’s after school until 4:30pm.  We will read together, discuss what we are reading and even have some snacks too.  Talk to Ms. Gowler or Ms. Pierson if you want to know more!
