Buy a Brick

 

You may remember that when East Elmwood Community Centre burned down, our school sold paper bricks for 25 cents each.  We were able to raise $738.65  dollars which we gave to Mayor Katz at an assembly in May of 2010.  

Last month Mayor Katz came back to the school , along with Matt Wiebe (MLA), Thomas Steen (City Councillor), and, Jim Maloway (MLA) as well as lots of media!  He announced that a new club will be built and thanked our school and community for the inspiration and support. This was a great way for our students to learn that one person really can make a difference, and lots of us together can make a big difference.
