Principal's Message

February 22, 2021

Opportunity abounds here within the Winnipeg School Division and at Grant Park High School. Grant Park is an institution committed to academic excellence and supporting each of our students on their unique educational journey. The school offers a comprehensive selection of course offerings from grade 7 to 12 and in one recent four-year span graduated two Rhodes Scholars and one Cambridge Scholar.

Grant Park High School's myriad of available supports include: English as an Additional Language Sheltered Programs, a full-time Aboriginal Graduation Coach, the largest Inclusion Support Program in Manitoba, award winning Performing and Visual Arts Programs, the only full-time kinesiologist in a school in Manitoba, an onsite mental health worker assisting students with anxiety and a variety of student-centered middle years programs specifically designed to support individual learning styles.

Grant Park offers a well-rounded secondary school experience supplementing academics with an extensive array of extra-curricular activities. Opportunities range from intramural programs in both the senior and junior gyms during the lunch hour to highly competitive interschool athletic programs featuring a full-year girls' volleyball and provincially ranked football program. Our roster of student options also incorporates social justice groups, a philosophy café, the debating team and robotics. The choices available to our student population offer something for everyone and have contributed to the rich legacy of Grant Park High School.

We look forward to having you join our proud Pirate tradition, and wish you every success at Grant Park and with your future post-secondary aspirations.
