DMCice is the senior of two jazz choirs at Daniel McIntyre Collegiate Institute.  DMCice is a group of 11 - 16 auditioned singers in grades 9 – 12 from the ranks of the Daniel McIntyre Collegiate Concert Choir.  This dedicated group of students meet three times a week after school and sing a variety of styles, ranging from pop to swing to latin.  In 2000 and again in 2006, DMCice was awarded a gold award for superior performance at MusicFest Canada. DMCice has been a featured performer at Choralfest Manitoba (2007, '08, '09, '10), and at the Moose Jaw Kinsmen Band and Choral Festival (2008).  In 2010, DMCice was a featured choir at Podium in Saskatoon, and in 2011 DMCice gave a Showcase Concert at the prestigious Canadian Rocky Mountain Festival in Banff, Alberta.  Ice usually tours twice during the year, once to a jazz festival, and once to a major festival with the other performing groups at the school.
