Project & Maintenance Estimator
The Project & Maintenance Estimator is responsible for conducting site assessments, developing scope of work, labour and material estimates for construction & maintenance projects.

 
The Project & Maintenance Estimator liaises with building department managers, maintenance supervisors, engineering staff, school principals, custodians and general contractors to produce a preliminary project scope of work and preliminary design drawings to complete an estimate profile. These estimates and preliminary design drawings are utilized to develop long range plans for construction and maintenance budgets. Information is collected and entered into a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) called SchoolDude.

 
Preventive Maintenance Inspectors
Mechanical & Electrical
Preventative maintenance inspections are required to identify and prioritize maintenance requirements, to develop life cycle maintenance programs, to document and label systems and equipment, to complete building condition audits, and to ensure all components and equipment are identified and documented into the divisions computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) on School Dude.

 
The preventative maintenance inspectors provide technical assistance to the trades staff, custodians and design teams, complete building inspections, audits and train custodian staff on routine maintenance procedures which fall under the planned and preventative maintenance program.

 
Energy Management Coordinator
The Energy Management Coordinator is responsible for directing the Division’s energy management programs, monitoring environmental concerns relative to energy, providing engineering support, supervising related energy retrofit projects, managing energy performance contracts, performing general administrative duties and benchmarking facility energy use. Information is collected and entered into a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) called SchoolDude. 
 
The Division targeted 60 facilities to receive the energy reduction improvements.

 
Upgrades in 42 facilities have been completed utilizing Energy Management Service Contracts (EMSC).  Upgrading of a further 18 facilities utilizing Energy Management Service Contracts is expected to be completed at the end of 2016.  A further 15 facilities have received lighting upgrades to reduce energy consumption with upgrades planned for an additional 4 facilities in the near future.
