CALLING FSL LEARNERS ages 9 to 14 years

Join the new CPF Pilot Project: After School WIGUP French Club

Interested students commit to participation for a minimum of 3-month period.
CPF will sponsor all registered students monthly club fees until March 31, 2021.
WHAT IS IT? It's an after-school online club where youth can access more than 2000 videos in French from around the world to ignite their passions, engage with French speakers and work on their own "CreaCtivities". Everything happens on the WIGUP secure online platform.
Student productions range from photo projects to video interviews that are shared on WIGUP.tv

To avoid service interruptions during these uncertain times, the Continuing Education Division has moved its course offerings to remote learning platforms. Since our physical campus is closed to the public until further notice, OUR INTENTION IS TO OFFER THE ENTIRE FALL SESSION USING THE DISTANCE EDUCATION TECHNOLOGY TOOL ZOOM.

To fully benefit from this course, we highly recommend that you connect using a good computer or tablet and ensure that you have access to best Internet connection that is possible. USING A CELL PHONE IS NOT RECOMMENDED.

As for your course material, our staff will offer a pick-up service (details to be provided at a later date).

COVID-19 HEALTH & SAFETY TIPS

  • Maintain a sense of routine, or structure to the day for you and your family.
  • Try to maintain social supports with family and friends, while practicing physical distancing (keeping six feet or just under two meters away from others).
  • Take advantage of free programs like Skype, Zoom, Facebook, etc. to maintain social contacts.
  • Look after your physical health. Maintain some form of physical activity, ensure you are eating a healthy balanced diet, and keep previously-established sleep habits and routines.
  • Read information only from credible sources, such as Health Canada.
  • If you are finding the bombardment of the news stressful, or if it is increasing your anxiety, minimize how much contact you are having with this type of information.
  • Identify things that are within your control and direct your energy towards those.
