This project will provide students the experience and excitement of participating in the performing arts. Students have the opportunity to attend the Jazz Concert at the Brandon University, featuring current artists and the Brandon University Jazz Orchestra. Students will also attend Jazz Improvisation workshops, attend a post performance clinic with university directors, and will receive adjudication comments for their performances, as well as attend individual instrument and vocal technique clinics. This project provides an opportunity for student learning in composing music for band and dance class. The students' work will be compiled into a post production form and used as part of a shared band/dance performance. The project involves the collaboration of Gaja Maffezzoli, music composer and ERHS Design class, and the U of M faculty of music students.The project is offered in English and in the French Language.
