Grade 7/8 Winter Workshop
This project will provide students an opportunity to learn from professionals in the field of instrumental music. Students will improve their instrumental technique and their overall love and appreciation for music. Students will attend clinics according to their level and needs. Students will also have the opportunity to watch a performance of a professional ensemble. Funding is Artist's fee/Guest Speaker.

School Production
This project supports the planning and development of a school production that will be presented to family and friends in December. Students will have an authentic learning experience in planning, rehearsing, choreographing, advertising and promoting the upcoming production. All students are welcomed to audition and volunteer for jobs on set creation, ticket and promotional materials, and costume design. This project will provide students with enrichment in Indigenous education by providing a hands-on experience to create Turtle Garden Indigenous Drums. This project will provide opportunities for students to be immersed in an environment that promotes an appreciation of nature and sustainability practices. Friluftsliv (free-loofts-liv) means “Free Air Life”, and is described as a way of life that is spent exploring and appreciating nature. Pet Therapy/Empathy
This project will provide an opportunity to have the Pet Empathy program at Queenston School. The Pet Empathy program is designed to coincide with MB educational curriculum core competencies and themes. Over five sessions, students will explore topics such as empathy, kindness, stages of growth, emotional needs, personal space, conflict and selfcare. The program is an animalassisted pet therapy using Winnipeg Humane Society behaviour assessed dogs. The workshops will be facilitated by a school-based clinician. Funding is Fee for Service/Performances.
