Manitoba Education announces remote learning for schools January 10 to 14January 6, 2022 Announcement
Effective January 10, all students will be in remote learning until January 14.
Children of Critical Service Workers’ (CSWs) in Nursery to Grade 6 and all high-risk students and students with exceptional needs in Nursery to Grade 12 to attend school at this time if no alternate care is available. Current plans are to have all other students return to in-person learning on Jan. 17.
Children of Critical Service Workers’ were identified so that those children can engage in temporary remote learning at school.
Transportation is available for students who are already eligible for bussing as follows:
- Students in Nursery to Grade 6 of previously identified CSWs
- Students in Nursery to Grade 12 with exceptional needs
Schools will be in touch with families regarding bussing information.
Students attending school during this period will be learning remotely on their device in a supervised space.
This proactive shift to temporary remote learning can cause additional stress, however, we want to assure you that our staff across WSD are here to assist. Working together, we can ensure your children’s education continues as smoothly as possible throughout the temporary remote learning period.
