Family Information Session - Elementary French Milieu Program

Winnipeg School Division is holding an information session to communicate a change to the language programming at École Robert H. Smith School. The direction, approved by WSD Board of Trustees, is to transition the school from a French Dual Track program, which currently offers both French and English instruction, to an Elementary French Milieu program where instruction is primarily in French.

The proposed changes, including any adjustments to catchment boundaries, will take effect in the 2026–27 school year. These changes will apply only to new Kindergarten students and new registrants and will not affect current students in English programming. Families in the community will have the option to send their children to Grosvenor School or Queenston School for English programming in the future.

This session will include a presentation and an opportunity to ask questions. It is open to all families within the École Robert H. Smith School community.
