Welcome to Champlain School’s website. Champlain School is a dynamic learning environment where students are provided with many opportunities to develop and thrive in order to maximize their learning potential. Our dedicated staff, along with students and community members, work together to create a safe and caring school where students are respectful, responsible and ready to learn. Within a diverse and inclusive environment, students are challenged to grow academically, socially and emotionally.
Many enrichment opportunities are offered for students and parents at Champlain School. Teachers offer many activities and clubs at lunch and after school, and on Mondays we have a Parks and Recreation Program. Our Community Support Worker offers a variety of after school programs such as a Indigenous Art Club and Pow Wow Club. The MY Voice club encourages students to participate in social justice projects both locally and globally. The recess Peacekeepers are trained to model conflict resolution and to help students resolve conflict peacefully. We are a member of the Hockey Heroes Program which is offered to 8 – 10 students annually. Throughout the year over 20 clubs are offered to students.
Our Community Support Worker offers regular parent activities and welcomes parents to drop in and see her in the morning in Room 103. Parent Council meetings are held monthly and all parents and guardians are invited to attend.
We are very proud of our Indigenous Programming that is integrated throughout our curriculum. Every year we offer a Cultural Celebration that has grown to be a favourite community event.
Thank you for exploring our website to see some of the many learning opportunities that are offered to students at Champlain School.
