Business & Information Technology
Business and Information Technology courses provide students
the opportunity to explore the world of business and develop skills using
industry standard software. Students
selecting business courses will have the opportunity to gain knowledge and
develop skills in the areas of general business, accounting, law, economics and
entrepreneurship. Students selecting information technology courses will
develop skills in office, animation, programming, web design and desktop
Students in Graphic Technology will explore software used in
print, photography and for the creation of digital movies. Students will
develop skills in graphic design using industry standard software.
Red River College recognizes some courses and may award
advanced standing in their business related programs. Economics 40S, Accounting
Systems 40S, and Law 40S are courses which can be used to calculate admission
and scholarship averages at the University of Winnipeg. Certificates are
available in Business and Information Technology, for details see a teacher in
these areas or a Guidance Counselor.
