DMCI Late Registration
All DMCI students who are coming back to DMCI next year and have not registered with a signed application form: You must do this immediately or risk not getting the courses that you need or want to take next year. This also pertains to any Grade 12 students who are thinking of returning to upgrade their marks for next year. You must register as soon as possible to ensure that you get the courses that you will need.
Getting Ready for 1st Year Presentation
Did you apply to the University of Manitoba or Winnipeg? Wondering what to do next? Then come to their Getting Ready for 1st Year presentation. The University of Winnipeg will be here on May 17th. The presentation will take place in the MPR during Period 4. If you would like to attend, please sign up with Miss Neufeld in the Guidance Office.
Conscious Kindness Day
What are you doing for others? Wednesday, May 16th is Conscious Kindness Day. Kindness is contagious. Help us spread it! Smile, say "Hello", respect others, volunteer, give blood, say "please and thank you", hold the door for someone, help a friend, forgive a mistake, be patient, do a favour. Kindness makes people want to be around us. Be kind!
Student Council 2018/2019 School Year
Hey Grades 9, 10 and 11: It's spring and you know what that means .... it's time to elect your Student Council for the 2018/2019 school year. Do you have leadership qualities? Stellar organizational skills? Tonnes of great ideas and energy? Then you would be a great fit for Student Council. Campaigning starts May 9 to 24 only and the speeches will be presented on May 25. This year we are looking for candidates for President, Grade 11 or 12 for Vice President and either a Grade 9, 10 or 11 to fill the two roles of Secretary and Treasurer. You can run in pairs or individually. Interested students must come to a meeting on Tuesday, April 24, in Room 40 during Period 4. If you cannot make this meeting, please see Mrs. Ilagan during Periods 3, 5 or 6.
WAIT there is more! I hear ya, Student Council sounds like so much fun but you aren't interested in taking an executive role. That's okay, we would love to have you as a Student Council Member, all grades are welcome. Again, just see Mrs. Ilagan in Room 40 to sign up to be part of next year's Student Council. We start planning in June.
Weight Room Hours
Do you have a spare Period 4? If so, the weight room will be open with Mr. Stadnyk during Days 1, 3, 6 from 12:20 to 1:20 pm, and Days 2, 4, 5 from 12:20 to 1:00 pm. Please make sure to have proper change of clothing.
Fun French Film Friday
Fun French Film Friday will be during Period 3 on Fridays (of course!!). Come one, come all. Bring your lunch and come to Room 52.
Students interested in joining Math contests, please see Mrs. Malolos in Room 36 by 3:30 pm.

You are the ONE! You are the one who has been wanting to roll above the rest in the UNIverse! Unicycle club meets on days ONE and THREE at 12:20 pm in the woods lab, Room 102. No experience necessary. Bring your lunch and have some fun on ONE wheel.
UNICYCLE CLUB starts every day 1 and day 3 during Period 4 in the Woods Lab (Room 102). No experience necessary! Come on down and try something that most cannot do. Remember, riding a bike is twice as hard!
Art Club meets every Wednesday from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm. Everyone is welcome. See you there.

No Scent Policy
Please be reminded that the Winnipeg School Division has a strict No Scent Policy. Anyone using aerosols or strong scented creams or lotions at school, will have these items confiscated and will face consequences for violating the policy. These perfumed items pose health hazard as they can trigger asthma attacks, headaches, migraines and allergic reactions. Let's consider everyone's health by not using these products at school.
