Hello! My name is Terri Warner and I am the very proud Principal of Fort Rouge School. We are a small school with wonderful things to offer!
I started my career teaching the grade 1,2,3 multi-age classroom at École Laura Secord School. This was an exciting experience and taught me a great deal about how to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of a diverse group of students. After 7 years in this position, I moved to John M. King School. I worked in various roles at John M. King, ending my time there as a Learning Support Teacher. After this, I became the Vice Principal at Dufferin School. It was at Dufferin School that I learned all about equity and the power of community. I became the Principal at Fort Rouge School in September 2013. It is here that I am learning about helping all children to find their gifts and their voice as strong learners and leaders.
I truly believe that all children come to us with gifts and strengths. They come to us with a curiosity about the world and I believe that we need to nurture this curiosity through creative, innovative experiences.
I look forward to working with staff, students, families and community members to help each one of our students shine as learners and leaders!
