Grosvenor School Strings Program

Grosvenor School String Orchestra Program

Under the guidance of our music teacher, Ms. Joan Clark, Grosvenor School is excited to offer the first time ever Elementary School String Orchestra Program. The Grosvenor String Orchestra will further enhance the existing violin program with the addition of the cello, bass, and viola. We have hired Ms. Andrea Bell to be the instructor for the program.  Born in Winnipeg, Andrea Bell holds Bachelor degrees in both Music and Education from the University of Manitoba. She completed a Master of Music in cello performance at the University of British Columbia where she was the winner of the concerto competition.  Andrea is in demand as a cellist and often performs with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra.

She is the Manager and cellist of the Rembrandt String Quartet. A passionate music educator, Ms. Bell has taught the String Orchestra at Westgate Mennonite Collegiate since 2000, and maintains a cello teaching studio of over 25 students. Andrea is the Director of the Summer Chamber Music Camp at the University of Manitoba. Andrea has conducted the Winnipeg Youth Concert Orchestra since 1997.
