Room 206 is learning about maintaining a healthy body. We have been reading and learning about the human skeleton. Did you know that adults have 206 bones and babies have 350 bones? Are you wondering why babies have more bones than adults? Check it up on the internet. Our class will be learning about the respiratory components such as how the lungs take in oxygen and expel carbon dioxide. The components of the circulatory system, the heart, blood vessels just to name a few. We will be using the Canada Food Guide to help us learn about a good balanced meal that will keep our bodies healthy.
Another way to stay healthy is by exercising. Students at JMK participate in many physical activities that are also fun and build teamwork skills. Team sports are a great way to stay active and have fun!
