China – Beijing and Hong Kong 2017
This year's China Trip to Beijing and Hong Kong was an incredible life experience. We started our travels in Beijing where we visited the Summer Palace, Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City.
We then traveled to Matianya and visited the Great Wall of China. Many students walked the wall from the 14th tower to the 21st tower.
We then participated in a Tea Ceremony and took a Hutong Rickshaw ride where we had a fabulous meal cooked by a local family. Some of us were brave enough to try chicken feet.
One of the highlights of the trip was a visit to Beijing Qianmen Foreign Language School. We learned the requirements of the Chinese curriculum and enjoyed interacting with the Chinese students.
Hong Kong is an incredible island with breathtaking scenery and architecture. Stanley Market and the Ladies Market were great areas for students to experience the art of bartering. They found great deals for family and friends.
A trip to Lantau Island provided us with the opportunity to see the largest seated Buddha. WOW!!!
Our trip to Macau was a wet one but we made the most out of the day with students frolicking in the rain.
We visited the A-Ma Temple and the Kun Lam Temple. We were also fortunate to visit the Galaxy and Wynn Casinos where we watched an incredible show.
Special thanks to our guides, Ruby and David, for a FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE!
