Asia Pacific Role Play Conference Exam
Kelvin Asia Pacific scholars from grades 9 through 12 took part in the school's 23rd annual Role Play Conference Exam. This day long event follows a Model United Nations format, with students taking on the roles of Country Ambassadors and Non-Governmental Organization representatives.
This year's topics ranged from Fair Trade to Free Trade, from Gender Equality to Commercial Surrogacy, among other issues. The role play and its attendant assignments account for 30% of credit for this after school course. Intermediate (mainly grade 10) and Senior (grade 11 and 12) scholars spent weeks preparing for the role play, contacting Embassies and International Headquarters, researching and preparing pamphlets, slides, posters and présentations, not to mention FOOD for the big day.
Congratulations to all involved!
