Grade 9 Outdoor Education students at Kelvin High School successfully demonstrated canoe rescue techniques at the North Centennial pool.
The Kelvin High School Outdoor Education course has been designed to engage students in activities that will allow them to explore, participate and be actively involved in the outdoors.
Students will be expected to participate and be prepared for a variety of vigorous physical activities, including canoeing, backpacking, rope climbing, skiing and many other active endeavors. The premise of the course is to encourage students to be more active and give them a chance to explore the outdoors in a new safe way.
