On the 16th of November, IB students from grades 11 and 12
all came together to showcase their deep knowledge and understanding of the
three sciences: Chemistry, Biology and Physics by presenting their research on
topics related to this year’s theme: Water.
Each year IB students and staff gather to take on a project known as G4 (or Group 4). This project between the Sciences promotes collaboration between students and enriches student knowledge on how a single topic can be studied from three entirely different perspectives (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics).
The G4 Symposium was held in the school library during the
morning. The day started by each of the groups setting up their posters, then
later students got the chance to present their projects as well as evaluate
other people’s work.
One student wrote:
"Many topics were presented in this symposium, like The Uses of Water in
Mass Industry, Water & Glaciers, and many more. The morning was filled with
enthusiastic students benefiting from each other’s expertise & knowledge of
a topic. Seeing the effort and hard work that everyone has put in in research,
artwork and presentation of the content was truly inspiring and the project has
brought together all minds from both grades to unify all IB students."
