The Great Escape 2013

On Tuesday, February 26, 2013, the Kelvin High School Grade 11 IB students, along with the Grade 11 IB students from the other four IB schools in Winnipeg and the one IB school in Brandon attended the annual “Great Escape” at the University of Manitoba.  The “Great Escape” is a fun day that includes a variety of social activities and sessions designed to help our students manage the rigours of the IB programme.  It is a great opportunity for students to see the campus, relax, have some fun and to make new friends at the same time.

Academic activities this year included Medical Rehabilitation, Programming a 3D World, Electron Measurement, Death, Crime and White Gloves, Archaeology, Bugs, Bugs Everywhere, Catapults and Statistical Adventures, Mobius Magic, Instant Insanity Puzzle Game and Genetic Switches.

Recreation activities included Archery, Dodgeball, Fencing, Martial Arts, Racquetball, Wall Climbing, Walleyball and a U of M Scavenger Hunt.

Art activities included Crafts and Knitting.
