KDHS will be meeting Mondays at lunch in the foods room.  We will be collecting money and non-perishables to be donated to local homeless shelters.  Please come down.  Everyone is welcome!


Game day! Game day! Game day!  Today is Kelvin Gaming Club's first after school game day in room 124.  Join us from 4:00-7:00pm to play some board games, card games or roleplaying games.  You can try some of our games or bring your own.  See Mr. Young in the library for more details.  Oh! And as always there will be $2 pizza.


Attention grade 12 students.  If your average over the last 3 years is 85% or over, please consider applying for the Loran Scholarship.  See Ms. Davison by September 25 for more details.


Attention all cheerleaders: Come try a new sport, no experience needed!  Pom team tryouts are tomorrow in the MPR at lunch.


Spectrum, Kelvin's GSA, will be having its first meeting of the school year tomorrow in room 46 at lunch!  Come on down to find out what we'll be doing this year and for more information on further meeting times.


The Aboriginal Youth Leadership Program invites all First Nations, Metis, and Inuit students to participate in five full day events to learn about Aboriginal cultures.  Please see Rob Marriott in room 117 for more information and to pick up permission slips.


Any student interested in SHAD pre-university program, please see Mrs. Decelles.  Application deadline is November 20, 2017.


The Discovery Days workshop winners are McKenzie Rogers and Ayla Hanson-Leith.  See Ms. Labun in room 18 to register.  All others will be put on the wait list.


Are you interested in volunteering and helping the community?  Then come to room 41 next Tuesday to join Youth in Philantrophy.


The Kelvin Gardening Club will be meeting tomorrow outside the bike compound at 3:45 to plant tulips!


First pizza day is tomorrow!  Pizza will be on sale for $2.50 a slice outside the office.  Come quickly before we run out!


Come down and support your varsity girls in their first league game tonight at 6:00 pm here at Kelvin!  Come for a good time with even better players!


In the spirit of reconciliation, please wear an orange shirt on September 29 to honour the survivors of residential schools.  If you would like a Kelvin-made orange shirt, see Mr. Walker in room 33.  Cost is $8.00.

The Arts Council will be meeting in room 124 at 1:00 pm today. Anyone interested in joining are welcome to attend.


Standing with Mother Earth, an interactive day-long experience with Indigenous Elders and local activists, takes place tomorrow.  All HASTA and EAC students interested in attending should hand in their permission slips in room 35.  The bike crew leaves Kelvin tomorrow morning at 8:45, heading for Whittier Park; see you there!  Questions?  Contact Monsieur Sokalski in room 35 or via e-mail today!


A reminder to students interested in or registered for Japanese Language class; the first class is this coming Tuesday.  If you have not already done so, pick up an information letter in room 35, and come with your fee next Tuesday, at 3:30 in room 35.


Are you in grade 10, 11 or 12, and interested in, or registered for Asia Pacific Studies, but not sure when or where the class is?  Then, listen up, because class started two weeks ago!  Be sure and stop by room 35 to pick up your course outline and information slip!  Are you listening to this and thinking... "Hey, my friend, who never hears the announcements, should hear this!"...?  Then be a good buddy and let that wayward Asia Pac scholar know they should head on down to room 35 to catch up!
