École Lansdowne has come together to support a former student who was recently diagnosed with cancer.
On Saturday, May 14th, École Lansdowne put on a volleyball tournament to raise funds for 18-year-old Adrian Allard.
Mr Marko, our physical education teacher at the school, organized the 12-team co-ed tournament for Grade 8 students. He taught Allard when he attended the school. The 18-year-old is currently a student at Sisler High School.
Students wore colour-coordinated uniforms with Allard's name and number, 12, on their backs. Each team had a different colour.
Many staff and students came out to watch the tournament and help out for the day.
