To be brave is to do something right even if you know its going to hurt you.
In September, Lord Nelson Students learned about bravery (courage) and self-control. As part of Bravery, while in our Family Groups, students learned about the life of Terry Fox and how he courageously fought a battle with cancer while running across Canada. We learned how brave he was and how much self-control he had. In our Family Groups, we participated in a Terry Fox walk and students collected coins to donate to the Cancer foundation. Our older students helped our kindergartens as we walked around the field. After all, we are One Big Family at Lord Nelson School!
