Room 9 Grade 3

Grade 3's are able to identify a truss, beam, arch and a suspension bridge by observing videos, readings, and using hands-on building activities (stem challenges). They also learned how triangles are used to strengthen bridges. Grade 3's learned about different types of shelters in North America such as tipis and igloos and how durable these structures can be. We are continuing to work on our place value, mental math strategies, math problems and multiplication facts. We will be learning about Canadian artists and how to paint by using their style of art such as abstract and pointillism.
