PHYSICAL EDUCATION GR. 9 - 12 (1 CREDIT EACH)
GRADES 9 & 10
These courses require regular participation in a variety of enjoyable physical activities that promote a healthy, active lifestyle. Instruction includes basic skills, rules, safety and fair-play. Emphasis will be on fitness management, nutrition, healthy and personal wellness. Students will investigate such issues as healthy sexuality and the use of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs.
GRADES 11 & 12
These courses focus on the development of a personalized approach to healthy living through participation in a variety of sports and lifetime activities. Students will develop and implement personal fitness plans. In addition, they will be given opportunities to further explore topics related to fitness management, nutrition, social/emotional health and personal planning.
