The Ralph Brown Parent Council is a group of parents committed to helping Ralph Brown be the best school it can be.
Mission Statement: School councils are created to encourage and support parental involvement in children's education. The Ralph Brown School Advisory Committee meets on a monthly basis to discuss issues affecting our childrens education and seeks ways of optimizing their learning. Council works as a team of parents, administration and teachers to ensure school policies, programs and services and the allocation of funds are used to best support this learning. Each meeting consists of reports from the lunch program, fundraising, treasury, administration and any new business. Snacks and babysitting are always available. Encourage parents to participate and be involved in making decisions that effect their children.
Advocate for families at monthly meetings with school administration and teacher representatives.
Keep families informed of council initiatives.
Support initiatives that benefit our children and the school.
Fundraise as a means to financially support school programs or experiences.
Apply for grants to help achieve our wish list goals.
There are seven board seats: (President, Vice President, Tresurer, Fundrasier, Secretary, Aboriginal Reprepresentative and Ukrainian Representative.) Elections are held every October of the new school year.
