Family Resource Centre is located in room 6.
Our Centre has a T.V./DVD area with a sofa, a play area for children, a
computer station for parents, a telephone, a kitchen area with a fridge and
microwave, and a sewing/craft area.
There are many resources available to our families such as parenting
information, housing/rental information, information for new families whether
you have come from another school or another country, lending libraries and
much, much more. The Family Resource
Centre also offers basic computer classes on a one to one basis. It covers everything from “Surfing the Net”
to “What’s a mouse?” and Resume Writing.
Throughout the school year the Family Resource Centre provides different
workshops such as Rental Rights and Responsibilities, Budgeting and Fire
Safety. If there is a workshop you are
interested in please let me know.

provided. Some of the programs include:

Children’s clothes $1.00 a bag
Adult clothes 50 cents each
All shoes and boots $1.00 each

- Participants make a variety of themed crafts for example Halloween,
Christmas, Valentines Day crafts.
- Participants receive low cost healthy meal ideas.
- Each week we make a new recipe and participants take home what they make
to share with their families.
- Cooking Club is from January-March
- In the spring we make a variety of Aboriginal crafts such as dream catchers, ornamental drums, headdresses,
and beaded projects.
Sewing activities and Regalia
- Through out the school year we do a variety of sewing projects.
- Projects include star blankets, Powwow Regalia, and simple one day

for all of our Grandmas to meet, share life experiences and support one
