recovery is a highly effective short-term intervention of one-to-one tutoring
for struggling first graders. Each day
your child will receive a 30 minute lesson that is tailored to his/her reading
and writing needs. Reading recovery is
used as a supplement to classroom teaching.
Recovery, individual students receive a 30 minute lesson each school day for
12-20 weeks with a specifically trained Reading Recovery teacher. Instruction is provided until the child is
reading at or above the average of his/her class and has acquired independent
reading and writing strategies.
