Dear Parents and students,
Welcome to Grade 1!!
I am so excited for the new school year. I look forward to getting to know you and your child. There are so many new things to learn and new friends to be made.
My goal for this year is to help your child be an independent and responsible learner. I will also show your child how to make responsible choices and guide them as they learn this important skill. To accomplish this, we will be studying the Sacred Seven Teachings and using the teachings to help guide our choices. Your child will also have daily home reading that they will be responsible for completing. Please help your child foster their independence by encouraging them to complete and return their home reading each day.
At William Whyte School we are K.I.N.D;
- Keep my hands and feet to myself
- I am a learner
- Nurture myself, others, and my environment
- Do my best
These are the guiding principles we will do our very best to follow daily.
