ART: Ms. Cobb
January 27, 2023
Welcome! My name is Suzanne Cobb and I am the art teacher at William Whyte School.
The Indigenous Visual Arts Program in 2022 - 2023 will be exploring a variety of artists from the First Nations, Metis, and Inuit cultures. We will also explore the artworks of artists from around the world. When students know who they are and where they come from, they can build a positive sense of self.
Students will explore a wide variety of media including watercolour, acrylic paint, clay sculpture, textiles, collage, and more! We will learn about the elements of design and use them to tell our stories. The artworks we produce will focus on student choice and voice.
