Sky’s the limit for WAEC graduates

Adult students with the Winnipeg Adult Education Centre and its satellite campuses celebrated at the school’s 2022 graduation ceremony.

Families packed the University of Winnipeg’s Duckworth Centre on June 30 to cheer on the graduates, who come from all parts of the globe and all walks of life. 

WAEC is comprised of its main Vaughan Street campus, the Adolescent Parent Centre, Kaakiyow li moond ikol (located at the Turtle Island Neighbourhood Centre), The Adult Learning Centre (located at the River Osborne Community Centre), T.E.R.F. (Transition, Education, and Resources for Females), Taking Charge! Of Academics (programs for single parents working toward economic independence) and adult English-as-an-additional language programs.

Offering inclusive education, the WAEC embodies the concept that we are all life-long learners—and it is never too late to achieve your academic goals.
