Carpathia School students are keeping their community clean.
On March 18, Carpathia’s safety patrol team starting picking up litter on the school grounds and surrounding community.
Carpathia counsellor and patrol supervisor Ann-Marie Bell purchased grabbing sticks to aid in the cleanup.
“Every year our whole school works together to do a community clean-up,” Bell said.
“This year our plan is that classes will sign-out the grabbers in order to take their turn participating in the community clean-up to accommodate social distancing and safety for our students and staff.”
Bell said Carpathia students have already picked up a lot of trash, including improperly discarded face masks.
“We believe that it is our duty as positive citizens to do our share to make our community a beautiful place to be,” Bell said.
