New Isaac Brock Logo

Last school year, Isaac Brock School asked students to come up with a design for a new logo for the school. After many student entries, they narrowed down the search by selecting a group of finalists:

The entire school voted on their favourite design and Geniveve, a student who has been at Isaac Brock for nine years, was declared the winner with her original design below:

Geniveve then took her winning design and worked alongside a professional graphic designer from Winnipeg School Division to create the logo that will represent her school.

“My vision for the logo was to be able to picture it on jerseys and merch, I wanted it to be old, but familiar, that’s why we have the charger on there. There is a Cree medicine wheel in background because the school has the Cree and Ojibway language program,” said Geniveve.

Ensuring the logo would work well on multiple platforms and promotional items took a couple months between Geniveve and the WSD graphic designer, Andrew Pollreis. It was important to ensure the logo represented the school’s rich history and would take them well into the future.

“Collaborating with Geniveve was a great experience. She knew exactly how she wanted the logo to look and we were able to put all of those pieces together to create this new logo for Isaac Brock,” said Pollreis.
