Welcome to Wellington school’s website. This site is meant to share information about our school, and celebrate the efforts and successes of our students, staff, and community.
Wellington school is located in the Inner City District of the Winnipeg School Division. We are very proud of our culturally diverse population and have approximately 330 students from nursery through grade six.
Through the hard work, determination and commitment of our students, staff and parents, we have created a safe and stimulating learning environment in which every child is challenged to learn and develop to their highest individual potential.
We support our students’ learning through the use of updated technology, teaching through the arts, a movement room, access to music and dog therapy, EAL programming, and a strong Reading Recovery program, just to name a few.

Student learning research clearly states that a collaborative approach between home and school significantly effects a positive outcome for student learning and success. As a parent of a child attending Wellington, you are automatically a member of our Parent Council, and I encourage you to be involved in our meetings where we can continue to work together for a positive and productive learning environment.
Through our website we hope that you will capture some snap shots of the exciting integrated projects, activities and events our Wellington students and staff are working on.
