Welcome to Kent Road School Library!

We are already in the month of May! This school year has flown by!

This month in the library, look out for fun displays about bees and butterflies, alternative fairytales, plants and flowers, gardening, and seasons.

May is Asian Heritage Month, so I have some great non-fiction and story books displayed to help us learn about and celebrate our Asian community at Kent Road. May is also Mental Health Awareness Month. We all struggle sometimes and the library is a great place to come when you need a break or a change of scenery to regulate yourself. I have some fantastic resources to help deal with stress and anxiety and some picture books featuring characters that are going through situations just like you, to help you realize you are never alone.

While you are here, grab one of the super cute take-and-make bee or butterfly bookmark crafts!

With over 6000 books in our collection, there is something for everyone. Once a cycle, students come with their classes to read a story, have a discussion, and exchange their books. Students can keep their books for one school cycle and then exchange them for new ones.

Outside of their scheduled library time, students are always welcome to come to the library to work, take a break, or exchange their books if it is okay with their classroom teacher.

Check out the Kent Road School Online Library to peruse our collection and put books on hold.
