VOLUNTEERING AT LUXTON

As we look ahead to another wonderful year of learning, we are sharing with you information about volunteering at our school. At École Luxton School, we greatly value the contributions of our volunteers. They play an important role in enriching our students' learning experiences. Whether supporting field trips, special events, classroom activities, or extracurricular opportunities, your time and commitment help create meaningful experiences for our students.

As some of these requirements can take some time to process, we encourage families who may be interested in volunteering at any point during the next few years to complete the requirements now. Having your documentation on file in advance will allow you to take advantage of volunteer opportunities as they arise throughout the school year.

To volunteer the following requirements must be completed:

• Complete a Volunteer Application Form
• Complete Respect in Schools (RISC) training and submit a copy of your certificate
• Complete the Accessibility for Manitobans Act (AMA) requirements (click on the link)
• Complete Child Abuse Registry Check (attached)
• The forms may be completed digitally; however, all signatures need to be handwritten.

There are additional requirements for Community Volunteers and Coaches:

• Complete Criminal Record Check w/ Vulnerable Sector

Please note that applications for volunteering are valid for three years. If you have any further questions about becoming a volunteer, simply contact us via email or phone.
