Basic French

Students in grade 4/5/6 participate in the Basic French program. Students start out in Grade 4 learning the basics such as saying the alphabet in French, numbers, days of the week, months of the year etc.

This is done through singing, speaking and writing as well as playing games.

In grade 5 and 6 their knowledge and vocabulary is expanded through more reading, writing speaking and singing with more of a focus on grammar.

Students also learn about French culture and music through events like Festival du Voyageur and French week.​
