Neurodiversity Month
April 8, 2026 Important Date
April is recognized as Neurodiversity Month in Canada and globally, focusing on celebrating, accepting, and accommodating neurodivergent individuals, including those with autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties.
It promotes shifting the focus from challenges to the unique strengths and talents of neurodivergent people.
Neurodiversity is based on the idea that everyone has a differently wired brain and their own unique way of thinking and experiencing the world.
Differences in the way our brains process the world means that they may struggle to do things that others find easy, but they may also find things easy that other people struggle with.
