Canadian Studies topics covered are: a physical overview of Canada, Canadian life in a multi cultural society, political, legal and economic processes, the impact of modern technology, Canada and its relation to the rest of the world. Evaluation: Based upon completion of a variety of assignments such as research projects, essays, tests and a final exam. 

Géographie du Canada 20F - GEOF 2F

This course deals with the physical, economic, cultural and political systems of North America. It will help the student to discover Canada’s connections with other people and countries around the world. More so, it will assist the student to make informed decisions about environmental and social issues affecting Canada and the world. Evaluation: Based on the student completion of a variety of assignments including several research projects, essays, quizzes and a Final exam. 

Histoire 30F - HISF 3F

The objective of this course is to engage students in learning about history by asking questions and doing research. Guided by essential questions, students focus on the history of Canada from pre-historic mes to the present. Students become historically literate and better able to understand Canada today. Specific themes: First Nations, Metis, Inuit peoples, French-English Relations, Identity, Diversity and Citizenship, Government and Economics, and Canada and the World. Evaluation: The marks in this course are based on the student completion of a variety of assignments including several research projects, essays, quizzes and a Final exam.
