Bienvenue à l'École Sir William Osler! We are a small and creative French Immersion school, with a big heart! Our school offers a safe and warm environment where students can learn and grow in a French Immersion environment. We believe in strong school and family connections.

In September of 2015, École Sir William Osler officially opened and welcomed French Immersion students in Nursery to Grade 1. Each year another grade was added. We are now a Nursery to Grade 6 French Immersion Milieu School.

Our school is an inclusive school where all children are supported and encouraged to attain their goals academically, physically, creatively and socially. To that end, we offer excellent academic programs in the French language. Our school is a French Immersion Milieu, which means that the French Immersion program is the only program offered at our school. We follow the provincial French Immersion curriculum as laid out by Manitoba Education. All students learn their subject material in the French language. Beginning in grade 1, our students have a daily one hour English Language Arts class. We guide students to understand, speak, read, write and communicate effectively in both official Canadian languages!

Families do not need to speak French at home to enroll their children in our French Immersion school. Communication with families is in English. Interpreters may be requested if families are more comfortable communicating in another language.

Our school really believes in working with our community, parents, staff and most importantly, the children. When you come to our school, you will see a school that is engaging, encouraging, inclusive, inviting, respectful, stimulating, sustainable and most important always welcoming. You will see that most definitely in all the kids!

Please explore our site and see what our school has to offer and please feel free to contact us at any time if you have any questions about our exceptional school or to set up a visit.

We feel very fortunate to be a part of this inviting and supportive community and we know that you will too.

Mme Dominique Ostermann (Principal)
