Tec-Voc’s Student Activities Committee Presents: Battle of the Grades!

📅 March 24 – March 28

Earn points for your grade by dressing up for the daily themes and participating in activities throughout the week! The competition all leads up to Gym Blast on Friday, March 28, where grades will battle for the championship trophy.

🎥 Throughout the Week: Watch the daily posted videos to prepare for "The Disappearance of the Hornet" Kahoot Mystery happening on Thursday!

Daily Themes & Activities

Monday, March 24 – Adam Sandler Day & Basketball Shootout

👕 Theme: Dress like Adam Sandler! Rock baggy pants, an oversized t-shirt or sweater, and sneakers.
🏀 Activity: Basketball Shootout – Test your skills in a 3-point challenge! How many can you sink from the 3-point line?

Tuesday, March 25 – Dress as Your Grade & Karaoke Battle

🎭 Theme: Dress up according to your grade:

  • 🍼 Gr. 9 – Babies/Toddlers: Onesies, bibs, pacifiers, stuffed animals, pigtails, footie pajamas.
  • 🎒 Gr. 10 – Elementary School Kids: Cartoon backpacks, overalls, knee-high socks, light-up sneakers, pigtails, colorful clothes/kid graphic tees
  • 💼 Gr. 11 – Working Adults: Business casual—button-ups, blazers, ties, work attire, dress pants, briefcases, coffee cups.
  • 🦳 Gr. 12 – Senior Citizens: Cardigans, reading glasses, slippers, canes, gray wigs, suspenders, and crossword puzzles!

🎤 Activity: Karaoke Battle – Grades go head-to-head in an epic karaoke showdown! Limited spots available—sign up outside the Theatre.

Wednesday, March 26 – Whiteboard Wednesday & Poster Making

👕 Theme: Wear a white t-shirt and have your friends and classmates sign it—create a fun keepsake!
🎨 Activity: Poster Making – Show off your creativity by designing posters to cheer on your grade at Gym Blast!

Thursday, March 27 – Throwback Thursday & Kahoot Mystery

🕶️ Theme: Travel back in time! Dress like the past—80s, 90s, or early 2000s styles.
🕵️ Activity: "The Disappearance of the Hornet" Kahoot Mystery – Solve the mystery and uncover what happened to our missing Hornet!

Friday, March 28 – GYM BLAST! (Altered Bell Schedule)

⏰ Bell Schedule:

  • Period A: 9:00 – 9:40
  • Period B: 9:40 – 10:20
  • Period C: 10:20 – 11:00
  • To the Hornet Dome: 11:00 – 11:10 (Called down by grade)
  • GYM BLAST: 11:10 – 12:20

🎨 Gym Blast Colours:

  • Grade 9: Green
  • Grade 10: Yellow/Gold
  • Grade 11: Blue
  • Grade 12: Black

🔥 Gym Blast Challenge: Grades will compete in 10 high-energy competitions to determine the Battle of the Grades Champion! The grade with the most points wins the trophy.
