WSD Graduation Pow Wow 2026

Winnipeg School Division welcomed all graduating students from across the division to Canada Life Centre yesterday for a Graduation Pow Wow. The celebration brought together thousands of students, along with families, staff, Elders, Knowledge Keepers, community partners, and dignitaries to honour student achievement.

Graduation Pow Wow began with a Grand Entry featuring 175 invited guests and partners, followed by honouring songs and ceremony led by six drum groups, including three WSD drum groups. Guided by renowned Pow Wow MC Michael Esquash Sr., attendees had the opportunity to learn and experience the traditions of Pow Wow while celebrating the academic accomplishments of our graduates. 

Graduation Pow Wow reflects WSD's commitment to belonging, inclusion, and reconciliation, creating a memorable cultural celebration for all graduating youth as they finish the school year.
