Norquay School is a vibrant and inclusive learning community located in the historic neighbourhood of North Point Douglas in Winnipeg. Rooted in a rich cultural setting, our school is dedicated to fostering a safe, respectful, and engaging environment where every student can thrive.

At Norquay School, we work closely with parents, guardians, and community partners to support student success. Together, we strive to create a learning space that honours diversity, celebrates curiosity, and meets the unique needs of each learner.

Our dynamic and collaborative staff offer a strong academic program enriched by targeted, student‑centered instruction. We are proud to host robust Arts and Physical Education programs. Indigenous Perspectives and inquiry‑based learning are thoughtfully woven throughout all subject areas, enhancing student understanding and connection. Technology is used purposefully as a tool to enrich exploration, creativity, and achievement.

Community involvement is at the heart of what we do. We are fortunate to engage caregivers in our Caregiver Council, a dedicated Community Support Worker, and a variety of programs that support families throughout the year. The Boys and Girls Club provides after‑school programming, including the “Power Up” homework club.

Information

  • The school office is open at 8:30 a.m. daily
  • The school yard is supervised daily beginning at 8:45 a.m.
  • Entry to the building begins at 8:55 a.m.
  • Breakfast Program is open to all students and begins at 9:00 a.m.
  • Classes start at 9:00 a.m. daily
  • Nursery and Kindergarten morning programs run from 9:00 – 11:30 a.m.
  • Nursery and Kindergarten afternoon programs run from 1:00 – 3:30 a.m.
  • Lunch Program is open to all students and begins at;
    •  1:00 p.m. for Grade 1 - 6
    • 12:30 p.m. for Grade 7 - 8
  • Students who go home for lunch should return at;
    • 1:55 p.m. for Grade 1 - 6
    • 1:25 p.m. for Grade 7 - 8
  • Classes end at 3:30 p.m. daily
  • The office closes at 3:45 p.m. daily
