Equity Review Family Sessions
November 17, 2025
In partnership with the Diversity Institute at Toronto Metropolitan University, WSD is conducting an equity review of our programs and initiatives to ensure the fair, inclusive, and respectful treatment of all students, staff, and community members.
The Diversity Institute is engaging WSD families to understand perspectives on how to strengthen equity across these key areas:
- Curriculum and instruction supports
- Access and opportunity to programs and services
- Student support services and restorative justice
- Staff hiring practices and professional development
- Student/employee/family/community engagement
The Diversity Institute is inviting families to share their perspectives at an in-person equity review session. These will be safe and welcoming environments for everyone to engage in. Input will help shape the review and report with strengths, gaps, and opportunities.
Upcoming sessions
- November 25, 6:30 to 8:00 p.m., Prince Charles Education Resource Centre, 1075 Wellington Avenue
- November 26, 6:30 to 8:00 p.m., Collège Churchill High School, Senior Gym, 510 Hay Street
- November 27, 6:30 to 8:00 p.m., R.B. Russell Vocational High School, Gym, 364 Dufferin Avenue
