Novel Study Projects

In Ms. Froese’s grade 9 and 10 English classes we studied the novels Ender’s Game by Orson Scott Card (the movie now playing in theatres!), Heroes by Robert Cormier and Sherman Alexie’s The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian. Students created a wide variety of projects: posters, dioramas, scrapbooks, character pockets, CD soundtracks, newspaper articles and sketches. These creative pieces reflected the various characters, themes and symbols in the respective novels. Students also submitted a written analysis articulating the connections between their project and the story. As you can see from the photos, the students did an amazing job!
