Reach for the Top
February 8, 2021
Kelvin's Senior Reach for the Top has earned a spot at the National Finals to be held in Toronto in May, 2015. The team, comprised of Sam A., Nigel S., John M., Riley B., Muhamed A., Erik K., and Torbjörn T. arrived at the Manitoba Provincial finals with an unblemished 15 ains - 0 losses record and continued the winning streak up until the very last match, which was awarded by one point to St. Paul's in a heated (and controversial) match.
The provincial finals were held at Winnipeg City Hall, thanks to the efforts of Councillor Brian Mayes. Mayor Brian Bowman acted as Quiz Master for the final match.
Kelvin Reach now prepares for their second trip in a row to Toronto -- the first time in Kelvin history the school has qualified for the National Finals two years in a row.
